Little Traveller : Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran

Hey guys, this is my first time blogging in English. I think my grammar is creepy! So, just enjoy my pictures and my story. I and my friends, Junki and Win-win went to Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran in Pathuk, Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta tourism is not always about Malioboro, Keraton and Paratritis Beach, isn't? Actually,  Yogyakarta have many beautiful sightseeing such us Mt.Merapi and Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran. I'am too afraid to climb Mt. Merapi. Because of this reason I went to Nglanggeran and hiking!Nglanggeran is not volcano. Really save to hiking there. We took motorcycle from Sleman to Nlanggeran. We bought ticket 5 IDK/person (in 2013).

This is Nglanggeran Map. This map will guide you to choose climbing track. We chose normal track and started to climb up. We didn't prepare anything besides snacks and mineral water! And look! we wore simple clothes for hiking like window shopping style. We were an amateur!

I found sun flower and wild flower around the mountain. Nglanggeran's air is fresh. While hiking you can see beautiful panorama around you. We can see flowers everywhere and trees too. 

I'm too scared !

Little by little, we were success reached the peak. I lost my energy and my legs started shaking. But, from this unexpected hiking, I got new experince. I just love the scenery and want to stay here forever.

You can see Embung (dam) from the peek

We saw 'Embung' (blue dam) from the peak. We drunk mineral water and started to take picture again and again. We met with other people and one of them talked to me.

"Hey, I rare see girls in the mountain. Let's take picture together?"

I ignored him, *sigh

 

We take a rest in traditional restaurant call Warung in Indonesian.  I bought ice tea and snack. We can buy hot noodles too. The price was soo cheap. After my energy was back, we started our journey to visit Embung. 

She helped her sister/mother to boil water

This was Embung. Embung was constructed by human to saving water. On dry season, farmer use water from Embung to irrigate their fields. And do you know? Embung located on the top of hill. I was difficult to move because I'm too scared. One side is dam and another side is ravine.
